Afloat

What is the project?

Afloat is a web-based mobile exergame made for kids that are 6-12 years old. This was a school project for the module: Project 2. The purpose of the game is to play with a character and survive as long as possible on the platform while dodging several objects. The player can move by leaning sideways and jump by leaning forwards or backward. You can play the game in different positions: plank, standing, and squatting posture.

How?

Since this was a group project, each member was assigned to different work. I was assigned as the game and interface designer, UX-researcher, and front-end developer for the complete user interface. I used Adobe XD for the UI design and Illustrator & Photoshop for the game design. For the development, we made use of git and visual studio code.
